Internship in Assembly Planning Factory 56 from September 2024

As part of our "Process Planning Factory 56" team, you will be directly involved in designing the assembly processes in the most modern Mercedes-Benz production hall in which we manufacture the S-Class, EQS and Maybach. This includes, for example, balancing assembly processes, ensuring efficiency and planning the provision of materials and delivery methods.

Effective cooperation between us and the adjacent planning areas, such as logistics, production and new production planning, is required to link all these fields together. The high demands we place on our vehicles are directly reflected in your tasks. The top priority here is to optimize all processes in terms of time, quality, ergonomics, costs and flexibility.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

• Coordination of station meetings in the start-up factory (pre-series)
• Planning of model maintenance scopes for various series
• Developing proposals for process optimization in the current series
• Participation in interdisciplinary production preparation (IPV workshops)
• Design of delivery concepts ("shopping baskets")
• Collaboration in various specialist groups
• Optimization of planning processes using digital tools
• Development of proposals for process optimization

• Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, production engineering or a comparable course of study
• Confident written and spoken German and English skills
• Confident handling of MS Office
• Commitment and ability to work in a team
• Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
