Working student position in the communications department of Mercedes-Benz Vans from October 2024

As part of the Mercedes-Benz AG communications division, the Mercedes-Benz Vans communications department is responsible for all VAN plants, products and future technologies as well as for all economic, brand and sustainability topics relating to the business unit. We are the organizers of media events, central contact persons for journalists and inform our employees.

By successfully applying for this position, you will strengthen our department and gain insights into product, business and technology communication as well as event management for press events and addressing employees via internal communication channels. From your first week, you will be fully involved in our work and have the opportunity to take on your own projects.

These are your primary tasks:

• Contributing to the development of global communication strategies for Mercedes-Benz Vans products, locations and technologies
• Collaboration in the content and organizational implementation of the communication strategies, including press releases, press interviews and international press events, if necessary with on-site support
• Support in the executive communication of Mercedes-Benz Vans, e.g. in the context of cooperation in the organizational preparation and implementation of internal events
• Partially independent coordination and management of cooperation with our local PR contacts worldwide
• Partially independent development and management of internal, cross-departmental processes and projects

• Communication/economics, PR, journalism, business administration/economics, humanities/social sciences or a comparable course of study
• Proficient in written and spoken German and English, other languages an advantage
• Confident handling of MS Office and digital media
• Commitment, ability to work in a team, analytical mindset, strategic way of working, very good communication and organizational skills, high degree of independence and initiative
• Practical experience if possible, valid class B driving license (car)
