UNITECH Web Development Intern - AI & Chatbots (m/f/d)

Job Description

At the Virtual Competence Centre of Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls, we are looking for a motivated intern (m/f/d) for Web Application Development with a focus on AI and chatbot integration. You will join an international and diverse of team of simulation specialists and engineers in our R&D working at the heart of Hamburg HafenCity.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will assist in the development of a small web application featuring a chatbot designed to search and retrieve information from our internal documents. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in web development and AI technologies in a professional setting. The key responsibilities include:

• Assist in the design and development of a web application that includes a chatbot interface.
• Work on integrating the chatbot with internal document storage systems to enable efficient search and retrieval of information.
• Collaborate with senior developers and internal teams to understand the project requirements and document types.
• Participate in testing, debugging, & optimizing the web application for performance & usability.
• Help prepare documentation and user guides for the web application.

For this position you hold an educational background in computer science, IT or a related field. Additionally, we are looking for:

• Basic understanding of web development technologies such as HTML & JavaScript.
• Experience with Python frameworks, specifically Dash and Django.
• Interest in AI, chatbots, & natural language processing (NLP).
• Experience in database management (SQL or NoSQL) is an advantage.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
