About the Role: We are looking for a working student to support our Seam Sealing lab in Putzbrunn with internal and external testing for laminate and seam tape developments. In this role you will be able to apply technical knowledge by preparing samples for seam sealing testing, evaluating samples, and ensuring proper input of testing requisitions and results.
We are looking to fill the position starting immediately for ca 60 hrs/month, for at least 6 months.
Responsibilities:
- Execute hands on operations such as using sewing and testing equipment in the seam sealing lab.
- Provide data for validation of existing commercial products and coordinate testing in external testing institutes
- Implement and maintain processes to consolidate and share seam sealing knowledge cross functionally
- Understand end uses and requirements of various products across the portfolio
- Partner with new product development, quality, and certification teams to support internal and external test requirements for Gore laminates and tapes
- The commitment includes the maintenance of specific databases for capturing product test results
Qualifications:
- You are currently an enrolled student in a technical or textile-related major
- You enjoy working independently and thoroughly.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage critical thinking to identify technical uncertainties and failure modes
- Demonstrated ability to understand interactions between process, equipment, and materials
- Good PC skills, especially MS Office and databases
- You have good English and German skills (written and verbal)
