Mandatory internship in Powertrain Logistics Planning from August/September 2024

At the Mercedes-Benz plant in Untertürkheim, we build the heart of our cars: high-quality and future-oriented engines, transmissions, axles and batteries for all Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and vans. Transmission logistics planning at the
Plant in Hedelfingen plans and implements robust, lean and efficient logistics processes for all Mercedes-Benz automatic passenger car transmissions. This includes the inbound logistics processes for supplying the plant, the
Intralogistics for planning the internal production processes and outbound logistics, which plans the worldwide shipment of the transmissions. Our daily challenge is the design and implementation of processes to optimize and harmonize
cross-divisional optimization and harmonization of logistics flows.

You can expect these tasks, among others

• Collaboration in logistics planning in the exciting large series start-up of our new automatic transmission in the international production network
• Working on small projects to optimize the logistics process
• Presentation and introduction of work results in the management environment
• Designing logistics areas and processes in future production in various countries
• Collaboration in the implementation of lean production projects according to the criteria of the Mercedes-Benz production system
• Development of the future work of inbound, intra- and outbound logistics at the Hedelfingen plant in a separate project
• Getting to know the daily planning routine (e.g. preparation and coordination of decision documents)

• Degree program: Business administration with specialization in production, logistics or material flow, industrial engineering,
• Mechanical engineering, logistics, production technology or a comparable course of study
• Proficient in written and spoken German and English
• Confident handling of MS Office
• Ability to work in a team
• Analytical thinking
• Communication skills
