Internship / Thesis: 3D Mapping & Localization for Mobile Robots*

Fixed-term for 3-6 months

YOUR TASKS:

• You research literature on the topic of 3D mapping and localization for mobile, autonomous robots.
• You make a well-reasoned selection of methods to be investigated.
• You implement selected methods on the provided hardware, adapt them, or further develop them.
• You design and conduct experiments to compare different methods.
• You evaluate the selected methods.
• You document your work results in detail.

YOUR PROFILE:

• You are studying mathematics, electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable field of study.
• You have excellent programming skills in C++.
• Ideally, you have knowledge in the areas of laser measurement technology, mathematical optimization, or cartography.
• (Very) good English skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Your independent and structured working style completes your profile.
