The Position
The department "Pharmaceutical Development and Supplies" is responsible for the technical development and preparation of sterile dosage forms of biotechnologically and chemically engineered molecules, focusing on pre-filled syringes and vials for preclinical and clinical studies, and the market supplies.

Your Opportunity
As a student intern, your responsibilities will include:

Actively participate (at least 6 months) in one of the pharmaceutical development groups focusing on manufacturing, equipment verification and process development. The laboratory projects tend to relate to:
Process development of drug product (e.g. experimental optimization, or analysis, in-silico prediction and optimization of DP manufacturing filling parameters)
Acquiring, and characterizing lab equipment and manufacturing equipment and ensuring data integrity
The execution of technical risk assessments for lab- and manufacturing equipment to ensure safety in the lab.
Opportunity to engage in departmental activities related to innovative processes, and technologies
Work independently on small projects in the laboratory
Gain insights into the multifaceted and diverse working environment of pharmaceutical development
Build technical documentation, present results in internal meetings, and learn how current industrial requirements are implemented in everyday life
Who You Are
To be eligible for an internship lasting 6 months, you must either be currently enrolled at a university in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, biotechnology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, biology or a related field pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, or have completed your studies (passed the 2nd state examination of your pharmacy studies) within the past 12 months prior to the starting date with a Bachelor's or Master's degree. For an internship lasting longer than 6 months, enrollment at the university for the entire internship is required and a letter from the university stating that the internship is mandatory for your studies. The letter should also specify the required length of the internship.
For Non-EU/EFTA citizens: due to regulations, you must provide a mandatory letter issued by your university stating that an Internship is mandatory for your studies (for both 6 months and longer). For an internship lasting longer than 6 months, it also needs to specify the required length of the internship. Please upload this mandatory letter and your enrollment certificate along with your CV and motivation letter.
