About This Role
As our new Manufacturing Technician II, you will perform corrective and preventative maintenance on manufacturing and laboratory analytical equipment. You will support manufacturing and laboratory personnel in the use, maintenance, and repair of on-site process equipment and assist with validation and engineering activities when required. Additionally, you will author changes to procedures and job plans as needed.
What You'll Do
- Execute assigned work orders in accordance with site procedures and policies. Create, troubleshoot, and execute corrective work orders as necessary, following appropriate safety protocols.
- Provide engineering and validation support.
- Author changes to procedures, job plans, and LOTO safety forms.
Who You Are
You are a safety-focused, team-oriented technician with solid experience and knowledge of GMP. You are skilled in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control systems. You have practical knowledge of GxP regulations, proficiency in CMMS, and can draft SOPs and PMs. You are familiar with rotating or extended shifts.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience working in a GMP regulatory environment.
- AA degree in a technical field.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation/control troubleshooting and repair.
- Knowledge and safe use of hand tools, power tools, and basic industrial repair machinery.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control principles.
- Safety-conscious with an understanding of system safety controls and general industrial safety practices.
- Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present information in front of a group.
- Ability to draft SOPs and author PMs on equipment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Ability to work under short timelines within a manufacturing environment. Team-oriented.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, extended shifts, and/or weekends.
- Practical knowledge of GxP regulations.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project.
- Six Sigma training preferred.
- Minimum English level B1.
