Job Purpose/Role
We are looking for a forward-thinking and results-oriented Working Student – Investment Controlling and Valuation (m/f/d). This position will be based in our Munich office and should have a duration of at least 6 months - 16 - 20 hours per week - with the chance to be extended, starting from November onwards.
In this role you will be assisting in the quarterly valuation validation process and ongoing monitoring of Allianz Capital Partner's portfolio in direct infrastructure equity, renewables and private equity fund investments.
Key Responsibilities
Support in the onboarding of new investment strategies from a valuation perspective
Controlling of Allianz Capital Partner's portfolio in direct infrastructure equity, renewables and private equity fund investments
Supporting the valuation process of the direct and indirect portfolio in close collaboration with other functions within Allianz Capital Partners (e.g., investment teams, finance departments)
Preparation of model and KPI analyses at investment and portfolio level
Preparation of presentations for senior management, Allianz committees and external investors
Carrying out market and competitor analyses (e.g., using Capital IQ)
Ad hoc projects on valuation, planning, IFRS reporting and accounting topics
Leveraging ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for efficient data preparation and transformation
Supporting data visualizations and dashboards to present analytical insights and drive data-informed decision-making
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
Advanced studies in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a comparable degree program specialized in corporate finance or investment controlling
First internship experience preferably in the areas of corporate finance, valuation or investment controlling
Excellent MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint, Power Automate, PowerBI knowledge is a plus
Good knowledge in business intelligence: a solid understanding of data structures and proficiency in at least one automation tool (e.g., Python, Power Automate, etc.), good at process optimizing
Good IFRS Accounting knowledge
Strong analytical skills and a structured, independent work style
A high level of motivation, excellent communication skills and strong team spirit
Written and oral proficiency in English required, working knowledge of German is a plus
