Background

Wind turbine towers are becomming higher and higher, while the pressure on costs and operation increases. This combination leads to increasing pressure on available design space, not in the last place in the frequency domain. For this Enercon is looking for a motivated student worker, able to adress the necessary challenges

Your tasks:

• To determine whether a vibration damper can be designed for the construction and final state of a wind turbine
  with a steel tower that can cover both states simultaneously.
• Bring relevant knowledge of the frequency domain into running structural projects, leading to more design freedom
• Identify knowledge gaps and overcome those by connecting (yourselve) with the right colleagues

What you bring

• Bachelor degree in (Mechanical) Engineering
• Experience in wind turbine tower designs
• Knowledge of (wind)frequencies and calculation methods
• Creativity in design suitable damping mechanisms
