About Area 21

Area 21 was founded in May of 2022 by the Elmos Semiconductor SE. The initial team was build up with Elmos software experts in October 2022. Area 21 has employees with many years of experience in managing, designing and testing software to enhance functionality of Elmos ICs. The main focus is on building embedded software for the automotive industry in close cooperation with the Elmos hardware development.

Youre interested in

• Support the evaluation of coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot) for use in embedded software development
• Conduct tests, analyze effectiveness, and develop recommendations for implementing these tools
• Identify and investigate additional use cases for generative AI in embedded software development
• Collaborate on feasibility studies and prototype development of AI tools
• Document and present your results

Your qualities are

• Enrolled student in (technical) computer science, data science, electrical engineering or a comparable field of study
• First experience with artificial intelligence, particularly generative AI, and its applications in software engineering
• Experience with programming language such as Python, C, or C++; knowledge in the field of embedded software is a plus
