Your responsibilities

• The primary goal of the internship is to support the Finance department in daily operations, with a specific focus on Accounting tasks while ensuring compliance with tax and financial regulations.
  
• Assist in daily accounting operations, including invoice postings, bank reconciliations, and financial documentation;
• Support the preparation and submission of tax statements and legal reports for INE and Bank of Portugal;
• Assist in the month-end closing process, including accruals, deferrals, reconciliations, and amortization postings;
• Support treasury-related tasks, including processing payments, managing cash receipts, and handling reimbursements;
• Gather and check accounting documents, ensuring alignment with financial regulations;
• Provide support for ad-hoc accounting tasks and process improvement initiatives;

Your qualification

Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management, or Economics.

Your competencies

• Technical Skills:
  
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and budgeting processes;
  • Strong Excel skills (data manipulation, pivot tables, and financial formulas);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data;
  • Ability to work independently and in teams;
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Fluent English;
