Böblingen: Working Student Environmental Compliance (m/f/d)

Job Description

• Regulatory monitoring in the field of chemical, environmental, substance/ material and product compliance. (e.g. EU-POP, EU-REACH, US TSCA, CSCL, global Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulations, PFAS Regulations etc)
• Maintenance of the inventory data (Supply Chain Data analysis)
• Support in the creation and the maintenance of presentations slides for various appointments (project management, conferences, committee work, working groups, training sessions).
• Roadmaps for the implementation of new legal requirements

Job Requirements

Study, Education:

• You are currently a student of environmental technology/ engineering, environmental protection, inorganic chemistry, natural sciences or engineering or a comparable degree program.
  Bachelor students should already have completed 4 semesters of their degree course (subject-related semesters!), Master students are welcome at any time.

Know-how:

• You should be a keen reader, as reviewing and pre-sorting legal texts will be one of your primary responsibilities.
  Existing knowledge in the area of global environmental and/or chemical legislation, as well as interpretation and monitoring of legislation is not a necessity, but a clear advantage

IT skills:

• You are proficient in the use of common MS Office applications (especially Excel, Power Point, TEAMs) and as well as Adobe Pro.
  Initial knowledge of Windchill or Silicon Expert is an advantage.

Language skills:

• Good language skills (written and verbal) in German and English are a requirement (min. C1). Multilingualism or being a native speaker/ fluent in other languages is an advantage (e.g. Mandarin, Japanese).

Important Information:

• Part-time employment during your degree:
  Your degree is the priority, which means you can work with us for up to 20 hours a week during the semester and gain practical work experience.
  
• Enrolled students welcome:
  You have to be enrolled at a university and be still in the middle of your degree.
  This means exams and modules should not yet be fully completed and you should be able to support us for at least six months. Preferably longer.
  It is not possible to take a leave of absence from your degree course (e.g vacation semester/ sick leave) while you are working with us.
  
• Proximity to place of work desired:
  We value personal cooperation. Therefore, you should be able to be on site regularly and as often as possible, in order to be well integrated into the team
