We are looking for an Actuarial Graduate in our CFO line of business to join our Allianz Commercial Graduate Program, based in Munich.

Your Team: 

Our department is a centre of excellence for actuarial topics, providing guidance on profitability and securing the company's future. Our mission is to provide transparent, timely and independent actuarial opinion with integrity, competence and care, while upholding professional standards and promoting personal growth within the team. In this role within the actuarial department's closing and forecasting team, you'll contribute to preparing actuarial inputs for monthly and quarterly financial closings, feeding the company's balance sheet and P&L. You'll work with software to perform actuarial calculations and help forecast financial positions to anticipate future closing outcomes. 

Your responsibilities: 

• Assist in gathering and organizing data for monthly and quarterly financial closings, ensuring accuracy for actuarial analysis and result steering. 

• Execute advanced actuarial analysis to understand and explain results and main drivers, and prepare analysis for assigned business areas with thorough documentation and communication. 

• Learn to utilize Allianz tools/software effectively, understanding the pros and cons of various data sources to support actuarial functions. 

• Prepare high-quality actuarial reports with peer review, presenting results clearly and defending actuarial viewpoints independently. 

• Promote collaboration with various Allianz business areas and support the Chief Actuary in preparing Reserving Committee material, acting as an actuarial ambassador. 

• Drive innovation in processes to improve closing activities and maintain detailed records for transparency and audits. 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

• Completion of a bachelors university degree by September 2026 in a quantitative discipline required 

• Computer Skills, Microsoft Office and VBA (recommended) 

• Finance and Insurance 'know-how' 

• Quantitative Financial and Risk Modelling skills (i.e. data analysis) 

• Able to adapt and work effectively in different situations and remain calm under pressure 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Have a pro-active and positive attitude to team work, able to assist others and also take on your own responsibilities 

• A curious and creative mindset, willingness to learn and enthusiasm to own and drive your personal development. 

• Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze, study or examine data in detail, draw appropriate conclusions and present solutions to others. 

• Good computer skills, including MS/Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.  

• Fluent English language skills

• A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential.
