We are looking for you! We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and highly motivated Intern (f/m/d), for our Strategic Development team who will support key. Your responsibilities will consist of both your contribution to mid- to long-term strategic projects as well as the involvement in ad-hoc tasks or global taskforce initiatives. As an intern (f/m/d) in the Strategic Development team, you will work very closely with various other functions within Allianz Global Investors and Allianz Group entities. Through frequent interactions with senior management and various functions on highly critical and important topics, you will gain deep knowledge across all aspects of the asset management business in various geographies.

This role is based in our Frankfurt office.

What you will do

• Support inorganic projects along all phases, including strategic target assessment, valuation, due diligence and post-merger integration initiatives
• Work on strategic projects and initiatives with a global, regional and cross-functional scope
• Support the development of business plans and investment cases
• Develop and prepare senior management presentations and relevant decision proposals for AllianzGI and Allianz SE governance bodies.

What you bring

• Strong interest in financial markets and the financial services industry and experience in Investment banking, Consulting or the Asset Management industry
• Prepared to deal with senior management on a day-to-day basis and enjoys working in a diverse and highly energetic environment
• Field of study in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or similar field
• Previous work experience is a plus
• Good understanding of corporate finance principles
• First financial modelling experience is a plus
• Keen interest in the asset management industry • Experience in working on strategic projects
• Ability to work and communicate with colleagues across cultural backgrounds and seniority levels
• Proficient in English, additional language skills are a plus
• Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, in particular MS Excel and MS PowerPoint including the development of convincing presentations

• Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
