Stuttgart: Working student Corporate Insurance - Team Analytics

We, as Mercedes-Benz Insurance Services GmbH (MBIS), are responsible for global insurance management as the insurance service provider of Mercedes-Benz Group AG. In addition to the worldwide expansion and development of automotive insurance, the protection of the Group's assets is a key focus. As an in-house broker, the Corporate Insurance department is responsible for all operational insurance solutions, for example in the areas of property, transport, and liability insurance.

You will be working within the Analytics team, mainly focusing on our collaboration with our group reinsurance captive. This team is responsible for supporting the captive team and the corporate insurance department mainly on analytics and insurance technical topics, such as portfolio management and underwriting.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented working student to join our International team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the specialized field of reinsurance within a captive environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring data accuracy, supporting analytical tasks, and contributing to the automation of key processes.

These challenges await you: 

• Data Verification & Plausibility Checks: Assist in the verification and plausibility checks of premium and claims data included in Statements of Account (SOAs). This involves comparing data against reinsurance agreements and previous quarters' records

• Reconciliation & Reporting: Support the reconciliation of financial data and contribute to the preparation of regular reports for internal stakeholders

• Agreement Support: Support the preparation of data and documentation for agreement renewals, new acquisitions, and contract drafting

• Portfolio Analysis: Support the team in analyzing portfolio data to identify trends, discrepancies, and insights

• Process Automation Support: Collaborate on initiatives aimed at generating tools to automate manual processes, including data verification, testing processes and reporting

• Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform various administrative and data-related tasks as required to support the portfolio management and underwriting functions

 The activity can begin from march 2026.

Qualifikationen

• Academic Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy, essential for data verification and plausibility checks

• Microsoft Excel Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions

• Data Handling: Ability to handle and reconcile large datasets efficiently

• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills in English, German is of course a plus

• Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
