Basel: Intern RDI Academy Product Development

We are looking for an intern to join our Product Development team for a period of 6 months. The ideal candidate will have a level of familiarity and strong interest in dental implants and surgical instruments, designing test protocols, executing (mechanical) tests or analysing test results. The internship offers the opportunity to get real-life experience with product development for products within the medical device/dental field.

Internship Purpose
Assist the product development team by participating in product development, defining product testing strategy, designing test methods, testing products under development according to test plan, and analyzing test results of medical products. Supporting the development and maintenance of documentation applicable/related to medical devices.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Support of development or lifecycle projects on dental implants and surgical instruments, to ensure that the product meets the requirements.
• Author technical documentation to support product development organization (e.g., requirements documents, test management, risk assessments, etc.)
• Support with administrative tasks related to activities of product development
  Education
• Bachelor or Master degree in mechanical engineering, material science, life sciences or equivalent field

Requirements:

• Familiarity with mechanical engineering, manufacturing processes and applicable regulations
• Ability to work on documentation, that follows good documentation practice
• Good organization skills
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
• Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, etc.)
