We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied working student occupation in the IT area of master data for our Customer, Brand and Sales with a focus on agile working methods. The main focus of the tasks is in Site Reliability Engineering, as a link between the IT operations processes and the software development processes of our IT systems. The IT system landscape is as diverse here as the colleagues in the teams and the tasks.
What awaits you?
- Collaborate with software development teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks for software applications.
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools for automating repetitive IT tasks and workflows.
- Integrate automation solutions with existing IT systems and infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimize automated processes to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Document automation processes and train colleagues on their usage.
- Continuously research and evaluate new automation technologies and best practices.
What should you bring along?
- Strong programming skills in scripting languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, Bash.
- Experience with automation tools like GitHub CI/CD (Selenium, Playwright optional).
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, AWS).
- Ability to analyze processes and identify opportunities for automation.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to debug and optimize automated workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
