Development Controlling deals with all commercial aspects of research and development in Germany and abroad. You will be actively involved in the operational and business processes of vehicle development and gain insights into the trends and products of tomorrow.
You will be involved in the internationalization process of the foreign locations and gain insights into international accounting, tax and controlling rules. You will be actively involved in the design of special controlling queries and the implementation of new controlling processes and methods.
These are some of the challenges you will face:
- Support and monitoring of operational divisional and strategic vehicle project planning
- Derivation and tracking of business management and center targets
- Preparing monthly and quarterly analyses and deriving recommendations for action relevant to results
- Analyzing and forecasting the main cost drivers of vehicle development
- Contributing to the preparation of periodic planning (operational/strategic planning)
- Contributing to the collection and reporting of key business indicators and top management reports
- Contributing to the development and further development of methods, procedures and processes for the integrative design of planning and controlling of vehicle development
- Contributing to the preparation of analyses for efficiency programs within Mercedes Benz Development
- Business management support for the internationalization process
- Participation in special topics and projects
You will have the opportunity to gain insights into the following areas:
- Fundamentals of planning and controlling: development controlling, cost/performance planning, planning methods taking into account commercial/technical premises
- Insights into key figure systems and their informative value
- Business management of a development directorate
- Competencies in the functioning of organizational and development structures
- Overview of current development projects at Mercedes-Benz AG
- External and internal accounting cycles and accounting regulations
- Technical problems and innovations in vehicle development
- Degree in the field of business administration, economics or industrial engineering
- Confident handling of MS Office (especially Excel), SAP knowledge is desirable
- Confident knowledge of German and English
- Analytical and strategic thinking and acting
- Result and goal orientation
- Sense of responsibility
- Assertiveness
- Ability to work in a team
