In the "Lighting Systems" department, we are responsible for the exterior lighting system components for all Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG passenger cars. The area of responsibility within the "Front Lighting System Development" team includes the following key areas:
- Collaboration in standardization in the area of headlight design
- Independent implementation, preparation and follow-up of a weekly technical coordination meeting
- Supporting the team with a variety of tasks relating to lighting system development (e.g. attending and preparing component presentations)
- Constructive CAD investigation of component interfaces
- Development of a standard system for component interfaces
- Collection of an overview of standards and specifications
- Development, updating and maintenance of the database
- Collection of a material overview
- Creation and maintenance of this material database using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) programming
- Weight controlling of headlights
- Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics or a comparable course of study
- Proficient in written and spoken German and English
- Confident handling of MS Office
- Commitment and ability to work in a team
- Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
- Basic knowledge of VBA programming desirable
- Initiative and reliability
- CAD experience (preferably Siemens NX)
- Affinity for Mercedes-Benz, cars and vehicle components
